CLEAN’s
Sobering Lesson
Fifth- and sixth-grade students in Winchester, Frederick County, and
Clarke County recently learned about the dangers of underage alcohol use when
law enforcement personnel visited the schools to participate in a Reach Out Now
Teach-In.
The local schools were among hundreds nationwide to hold a Teach-In as a follow-up to a national Town Hall Meeting on underage drinking.
The Teach-In was presented locally as part of a collaborative effort between law enforcement agencies, the public school systems, and CLEAN Inc., a Winchester-based organization that educates children and families about the dangers of drug and alcohol use.
