Tuesdays - 7:00 to 8:30pm, March 4 - April 8

Instructors: Barb Peters (English),  Frida Marcoccio (Spanish)     

March 4:  Chapters 1-2 – What does “at-risk” mean? Adolescent development 101; those behaviors that drive you crazy.

March 11: Chapter 3 – What can I do to protect my child; deciding what your rules are and communicating them.

March 18: Chapter 4 – Holding effective family meetings, making decisions as a family; working out a contract with your teen. 

 March 25  Chapter 5 – Giving your teen chores and contributions; using your contract to let them know when they have done a good job—or not.

 April 1 Chapter 6 & 7 - Completing your loophole-free contract in order to keep your teen safe. Supervision vs. hovering; your teen’s personal network; teen parties.

April 8:  Drugs and alcohol—what are teens doing in our community?
